Stitches and Abbreviations
(dc) double crochet
(sc) single crochet
(ss) slip stitch
(tc) turning chain
(mr) magic ring
(ssaj) same stitch as join
Notes You will be working with two (2) strands of yarn held together. You will be working in rounds to begin and then you will be working in rows. If you don't know the magic ring method you can chain three (3) and make 10 dc in the first chain made. These slippers fit a 7.5" foot. You can add rows to make them bigger; these are tight around the ankle, to make them longer in the toe, add more rounds before beginning your rows. They are easily adjustable to any size foot.
Rnd 1: make mr, ch 2, make 10 dc in ring, pull ring tight. Join with ss in first dc made, ch 2 (10 dc)
Rnd 2: 2 dc in ssaj and each st around, join with ss in first dc, ch 2. (20 dc)
Rnd 3: 2 dc in ssaj, dc in next 3 sts, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, repeat from * around, join, ch 2 (25 dc)
Rnds 4 - 9: dc in each st around, join, ch 3 turn. From here you will begin working in rows.
Row 1: dc 20, ch 3, turn, (20 dc)
Row 2 - 3: dc in each st. At end of row 3, ch 1, turn (20 dc)
Row 4: sc in each st across, at end of row ch 1. Working in the ends of rows, sc, ch 1 around top of slipper, join, fasten off, seam up back heel.
