I have a new pattern for you today. This hat is done in Lion Brand Yarn's Hometown USA super bulky yarn. This yarn is a #6 weight, the recommended hook size is N-13/9 mm. Hometown USA is 100% acrylic, making it easy care. It comes in 5 oz skeins and in some really great colors. The colors are vibrant and rich. I really liked working with this yarn, it has a nice feel to it; it is easy on the hands, works up quickly and creates a nice warm, durable crochet product.
I didn't use the recommended hook size, I used a P hook. I was able to make several of these hats last night. I will be bringing them to the metal yard where my husband recycles. Quite often, I bring the metals in for him, the guys that work at the yard always unload my truck for me. As a thank you, I made these hats for them. They always go above and beyond to help me. Where they work outside, what better way to keep their heads and ears warm than with a nice home made hat? Quick & Easy Men's Hat

Hi Cheryl, On row 4 after 2 DC in first stitch, where do the 5 DCs go? The row only inctrases by 5 stitches, but instructions say to repeat after the asterisk. I'm missing something.
