I got up this morning to a brisk chill in the air. The cold weather will be here before I know it!! Living in Northern New England is a challenge in the colder months. It is a blessing during the Spring and Summer but they pass much too quickly. We will be putting in a wood stove this year ~ I can't wait, I love the heat that stoves give off; they remind me of my childhood on a farm in southern Massachusetts.
I have also been on the phone this morning talking to a woman that helped me apply to an on-line college. She was wonderful to work with, not pushy at all. I will be starting on-line medical billing and coding courses at the end of this month; providing my financing goes through.
I am also working on some hats for a charity that I crochet for called "Hats for Justyce." They take donations and distribute them to the homeless shelters, women's shelters and the NICU's in the Ohio area. I am also making some hats to donate to the "Coats for Kids" drive here in Maine. This drive is sponsored by local businesses. I will put a couple pictures of the hats on my "gallery" page. You can view them there; I use this page to bring you pictures of items that I have made, some of them my own design, some of them patterns from other designers.
As always I want to thank you all for stopping in and visiting me here at Home made hats. I will be bringing you more and more posts and pictures in the days and weeks to come. I am so new to this blogging thing, thank you all for bearing with me.
For those of you that know my history with cancer; you will be happy to know that the scan I had done at the beginning of the week came back clear, so did the mammogram that I had done last week. That is all for now. Just be happy
