Crab Stitch Edging also know as
Reverse Single Crochet
![]() Crab Stitch also know as Reverse Single Crochet is worked the same as a Single Crochet only going in the opposite direction, if you are right handed you will be working from left to right and if you are left handed you will be working right to left. This stitch take a little bit of getting used to, so a practice swatch is a good idea.
I used this simple edging on a V-Stitch Shawl that I did for my review of Red Heart Yarns new Ombre Super Saver. You can find the pattern for the shawl in the drop down menu above. I am including two videos from Moogly so you can see just how to do this simple edging. As you can see in the picture to the left, this stitch makes for a really nice finish for your garments or accessories. All videos are used with permission. The first video is for right handed crocheters. The bottom video is for left handed crocheters. Thank you Tamara for allowing me to use your videos. |
