![]() Here is the Diagonal Knit Cowl. This lovely cowl is made with Lion Brand Scarfie, a #5 bulky weight yarn. This beautiful yarn is a wool/acrylic blend. You can work this cowl up in a weekend; Diagonal Knit Cowl makes a great gift, accessory or functional item. How you chose to wear it is up to you!!
Materials: 1/2 skein Lion Brand Scarfie yarn Size 10 US/5.75 mm circular knitting needles, 29 inch/73.6 cm Stitch marker Tapestry needle Stitches and Abbreviations Used: (k) knit (p) purl (co) cast on (bo) bind off (pm) place marker Gauge and measurements: Finished cowl 6.5 inches wide by 32 inches around 10 rows by 10 stitches = 2 inches To begin co 136 stitches, pm Rnds 1 and 2: *k2, p2; repeat from * around Rnds 3 and 4: *p1, k2, p1: repeat from * around Rnds 5 and 6: *p2, k2; repeat from * around Rnds 7 and 8: *k1, p2, k1; repeat from * around Repeat rounds 1 - 8 for diagonal rib pattern. Work until piece measures 6.5 inches, ending with round 8. Bind off in pattern round 1. If you wish to make a wider cowl (you will need more yarn) continue working in pattern until desired width is achieved. With tapestry needle weave in ends, block, wear, gift, enjoy. |
