Recently I was sent this beautiful yarn to review by Red Heart, it is called Twilight.  It is a soft bulky yarn, that is more like a "tube" than a strand.  This yarn is really soft and has a metallic thread running through it, giving it a bit of glitter and glam.  It comes in 8 beautiful colors.  You can view them all right here at Red Heart's product page.  The recommended hook size for this wonderful bulky yarn is #15/N or if you are a knitter a #15 needle.  I used a Q hook for my project.

The colorway that I was sent is called Mercury, hence the name of this cowl, Mercury Rising.  This project works up fast and uses only one ball of Twilight.  If you are looking for a quick project to make I highly recommend this cowl and Red Heart's Twilight yarn.

Materials ~ 1 3.5 oz skein Red Heart Boutique Twilight

Q Hook

Tapestry Needle

Chain - ch
Single crochet - sc
Slip stitch - ss
Turning chain - tc

To begin, Chain 17, sc in 4th ch from hook, *ch 4, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, repeat from * across. Ch 4 turn (4 sc, 4 ch spaces, 1 tc)

Row 2 - ss in first chain sp, *ch 4, ss in next ch space, repeat from * across, ch 4, turn.
Rows 3 - 17  Repeat row 2.  Do not fasten off

Finishing Lay flat and fold to twist, bring ends together and loosely sew or ss ends together,  Weave in any ends and wear or gift!!
