![]() This past weekend my husband and I were invited to my son's campsite. He was camping with his family and one of his friends from high school. Nick, his friend, had his niece and nephew with him. His little niece Olivia is the same age as my granddaughter Brooklyn and his little nephew the same age as my grandson Dylan. Of course I brought a bag with crochet. I began making a hat using my "Flowers by the Seaside" pattern. Olivia wanted to pick out a color for the trim; she chose a soft baby pastel multi. I embellished the hat with my Picot Flower and finished it up last night. Since I wasn't able to finish the hat before she left I will be shipping it to her this week. It was such a fun weekend. The campground that they were at is called Jellystone Park at Yonderhill in Madison, Maine. The kids played in the pool, the grown-ups watched them, chatted and got caught up on all the latest family news. A good time was had by all. We even got to have lobster for the first this summer. Yum, yum, I love boiled lobster with drawn butter. Here are some of the pictures that I took! I hope you are enjoying what is left of your summer. The kids will be going back to school soon, summer will be gone again for another year and the long cold winter will begin!
