The chilly Autumn weather is coming to New England very soon. It is already a bit chilly in the morning when I get up and start my day. Soon the leaves on the Silver Maple trees in our front yard with be changing color, the views I have of the mountains will soon be bright with the oranges, reds and golds of Autumn ~ It will be time to harvest pumpkins, have warm cider by the fire and celebrate the changing of the seasons.
Time to start making some soft, warm mittens and hats for my grandbabies. I bought some soft and chunky yarn the other day while I was out and about. I got some soft grey, black and white, I haven't decided what to make with it yet but you can be sure that I will post it up here for you all to see.
Yesterday I went for a CT Scan for my neck. For those of you that are new here: in 2010 I was diagnosed with stage 4 head and neck cancer. After several surgeries, chemo and radiation, I am now three (3) years cancer free. My oncologist doesn't think that there is anything going on, but wanted to make sure that all is well. Finger's crossed that I am still cancer free.
For those of you that my be fighting cancer, stay strong and know that I am praying for you. For those of you that have a loved one fighting, stay strong too, I am praying that your loved one wins the battle. It is hard to be strong at times but you must. Keep the faith and please remember what cancer cannot take from us : love, faith and our beliefs.
