Last week I got a surprise in the mail. I had contacted Red Heart Yarns about the Spring Time Shawl that I had made. They came by here and checked out my blog!! How exciting for me. Then they emailed me and complimented me on the pattern and asked for my address. I replied and thanked them for the lovely compliments they gave to me about this blog and the shawl. I was beside myself! I never expected to be noticed by such a large company. And then........to top it all off they sent me a box of yarn! Oh my gosh, I kept looking at it and saying "oh my gosh, they sent me yarn!"

Red Heart recommends washing items made with this yummy yarn on the gentle cycle, with cold water. They also recommend letting your items air dry.
I played with this for a while and last night I made a cowl with it. The cowl worked up fast, I had it made within an hour. You can't beat that for a quick project. Make it today, wear it or gift it tonight!! Here is a pic of the cowl and the pattern I wrote up. I hope you enjoy working with this Boutique Yarn as much I have! I have looked around on the internet and have found that this yarn sells for around 5.99 per skein. The Knitting Warehouse carries Twilight their price, $4.99.
Mercury Rising Infinity Cowl
In this lovely goodie bag is a skein of Red Heart Boutique Twilight. What can I say about this yarn??? Well to begin, it is a #6 weight, Super Bulky. It isn't yarn in the sense that it has a ply to it. It is more like a jersey material and it is tube shaped. It is very soft, and super easy to work with. I just love it! The colorway that they sent me is called Mercury. It has a strand of silver running through it along with some grey, white and mauve. It is very pretty. The skein is 3.5 oz, the recommended hook size to use with it is "N".
