September has turned out to be a very exciting month for Home made hats. As many of you know I was very sick a few years back. My credit took an extremely bad hit; I had over 11,000 dollars in medical debt.
I began working for a retail clothing store a year ago; trying to save money and pay off my debt. I have been working really hard to get my credit back.
For the past six years I have been driving a 1997 Dodge Dakota Sport. It turned 21 this year and has become less and less reliable for me.
Last week my husband, Ken, drove me to Newport to look at used vehicles. I was looking for something that was 3 to 5 years old that would be safe for me to drive during the snowy, icy Maine winter. To my astonishment I qualified for a new vehicle!! This is my 2018 Dodge Journey. When I drove it off the lot it had 17 miles on it!! The color (which I love) is called Granite Pearl. I am a grey girl so this is the perfect color for me.
This 2018 Dodge Journey has so many different features that I am not used too. There is a back up camera on the rear view mirror, the mirrors are heated, the list goes on and on. I am still getting used to driving it. It is so different from my little putt, putt truck!! The first night I brought it home I was so overwhelmed that I sat on the couch crying like a baby!! My husband asked my what was the matter and I told him "I feel like I don't deserve it." He assured me that I did, it still doesn't seem like it's really mine!! I imagine once I start making the payments reality will hit me real quick!!
Now I can start doing some of the local craft shows and hopefully sell some of the items I have made. As I make things I put them in a zippy bag and then into a tote. I am hoping to get more of them listed in my shop here on this site, I will post an up-date when I do.
Have you ever owned a brand new car? If so, what kind? Do you do craft shows? What tips or tricks can you help me with? I am open to any and all suggestions.
As always, thank you for taking the time to read this blog and visit me here in Maine. Be kind and God Bless ~
