Pineapple Lace Wrap

2 5.3 oz/150 g
590 yd/540 m
Mandala cakes by Lion Brand Yarns
(I used Serpent for my wrap)
Or any #3 weight yarn
H/8/5 mm crochet hook
Scissors or snips
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
​Blocking pins and blocking mats/boards

Measurements and Gauge:
16" wide by 70" long
1 8 row repeat is 4" 

Notes:
When buying yarn for this wrap try to purchase 2 cakes with the same color center pull, you will be working on the opposite side of your beginning chain for the second half of the wrap.  By purchasing this way your colors should match up equally on both sides.
This pattern uses multiples of 15 + 1, if you wish to make your wrap wider chain an addition 15 chain adding the + 1 once.

Stitches and Abbreviations:
(ch) chain
(tr) triple/treble crochet
To make tr yarn over hook twice, insert into specified chain or stitch, yarn over, pull up loop, * yarn over pull through 2 loops, repeat from * 2 times more, triple/treble crochet made
(tc) turning chain
(dc) double crochet

shell:  to make 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in specified stitch or chain space, shell made

To begin:

Row 1:  (wrong side) sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (75 sc), turn
Row 2:  ch 3, (counts as dc), 2 dc in 1st sc, *ch 7, skip next 5 sc, sc in next sc, ch 3; skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc, ch 7, skip next 5 sc**, shell in next sc; rep from * across, ending last rep at **, 3 dc in last sc, turn.
Row 3:  ch 3 (counts as dc) 2 dc in 1st dc, *ch 3, sc in next ch 7 loop, ch 5, skip next ch 3 loop, sc in next ch 7 loop, ch 3**, shell in ch 1 space of next shell; rep from * across, ending last rep at **, skip next 2 dc, 3 dc in 3rd ch of tc.
Row 4:  ch 3 (counts as dc) 2 dc in 1st dc, *skip next ch 3 loop, 11 tr in next ch 5 loop, skip next ch 3 loop**, shell in ch 1 space of next shell; rep from * across, ending last rep at **, skip next 2 dc, 3 dc in 3rd ch of tc.
Row 5: ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in 1st dc, *ch 2, skip next 2 dc, (sc in next tr, ch 3, skip next tr) 5 times, sc in next tr, ch 2**, shell in ch 1 space of next shell; rep from * across, ending last rep at **, skip next 2 dc, 3 dc in 3rd ch of tc.
Row 6:  ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in 1st dc, *ch 3, skip next ch 2 space, (sc, ch 3) in each of the next 5 ch 3 loops, skip next ch 2 space**, shell in ch 1 space of next shell; rep from * across, ending last rep at **, skip next 2 dc, 3 dc in 3rd ch of tc.
Row 7:  ch 3, (counts as dc) 2 dc in 1st dc, *ch 3, skip next ch 3 loop, (sc, ch 3) in each of the next 4 ch 3 loops, skip next ch 3 loop**, shell in ch 1 space of next shell; rep from * across, ending last rep at **, skip next 2 dc, 3 dc in 3rd ch of tc.

Repeat Rows 3 through 9 for pattern 8 more times.  For l0th repeat, repeat rows 3 through 8 once more.

Finishing Row 9: ch 1, sc in 1st dc, *ch 7, skip next ch 3 loop, sc in next ch 3 loop, ch 7, skip next ch 3 loop**, sc in next ch 1 space of next shell, rep from * across, ending last rep at **, sc in 3rd ch of tc.  Fasten off.

Part 2:
Working on opposite side of beginning ch with (ws) facing, join yarn with slip stitch in 1st sc, ch 1, sc in same stitch as join and in each ch across.  (75 sc)

Work same as part 1, fasten off. Weave in ends, block, wear or gift!
