Materials
I/9/5.5 mm hook Tapestry needle for weaving in ends 1 skein Caron’s Simply Soft Party Sparkle yarn Or any #4 weight worsted yarn Gauge 9 stitches x 4 rows = 2 inches Stitches and Abbreviations ch (chain) dc (double crochet) sk (skip) rep (repeat) tc (turning chain) This pattern is written in American crochet terms and rated beginner Row 1: With I hook ch 32, dc in 4th ch from hook, *sk next ch, (4 dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch, sk 3 ch, dc in next 5 ch; rep from * across, ending with dc in last 2 ch. Turn Row 2: Ch 3, (counts as dc) sk 1st dc, dc in next dc, *(dc 4, ch 2, dc) in next ch 2 space, sk 4 dc **, dc in next 5 dc, rep from * across ending last rep at **; dc in next dc, dc in 3rd ch of turning ch. Repeat row 2 for pattern. Finishing: Ch 2, hdc in each stitch and ch space across. Fasten off. Working on opposite side of beginning chain join yarn with slip st in 1st ch, ch 2, hdc in each ch and ch space across. Fasten off. Weave in ends, gift or wear. |
