 Ruffled Flower Embellishment ~ makes 2 inch flower
This flower embellishment consists of just 2 rounds.  Easy peasy right?

Materials:
Small amount of Carons Simply Soft #4 Worsted Weight Yarn.  Approximately 10 to 20 yards.
I hook
1/4" Felt Flower Button (optional) for center of flower
Tapestry needle to weave in ends and attach the flower to the hat

Stitches & Abbreviations Used
Magic Circle - mc
Chain - ch
Double Crochet - dc

To Begin:
With I hook make a magic circle, ch 3, make 12 dc in circle (or chain 3 & make 12 dc in 3rd chain from hook).  Pull center yarn tight to close.  Join with a ss to first dc
Round 1:  6 dc in each dc around (72 dc) fasten off.
Weave in ends leaving enough yarn to tie the flower to the hat.  I added a 1/4" felt flower to the center of my flower.   This step is optional.
