I/9/5.5 m hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle
Scissors or snips

Stitch(es): st(s)
Skip: sk
Repeat: rep
Right Side: rs
Wrong Side: ws

Row 1:  (ws) Ch 42, sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 2, sk 3 chs, sc in next ch; *ch 3, sk next ch, sc in next ch **, (ch 3, sk next 3 chs, sc in next ch) twice; rep from * across to last 4 sts, ending at **, ch 3, sk next 3 chs, sc in last ch; ch 1, turn.
Row 2:  (rs)  Sc in first sc, *ch1, sk next ch-3 sp, CL in next ch-3 sp, (ch 3, CL in same sp) twice, ch 1, sc in next sc; rep from * across; ch 6 (counts as first dc and ch-3 sp on following row), turn.
