Here is a FREE pattern for you to make for an 18" doll. I have a couple granddaughters and I designed this for their dolls.
Materials: D/3.25 mm Hook F/3.75 mm Hook Sport Weight Yarn ~ I used I love this yarn in Sweet Mocha Tapestry needle for seaming small button Stitches and Abbreviations Used: ch - chain sc - single crochet dc - double crochet ss - slip stitch Shell - to make, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in space or stitch indicated Picot - to make, sc in indicated st or ch space, ch 3, ss in 2nd ch from hook. Gauge: with F hook 5 shell rows x 22 stitches (this includes chains) = 2” To begin: with D hook ch 70 Row 1 - sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across; turn, ch 1 (68 sc) Row 2 - sc in each st across; turn ch 1 (68 sc) Row 3 - button hole row - sc 2, ch 2, skip 2, sc across; turn, ch 1 (66 sc, 2 ch) Row 4 - sc 2, sc 2 in ch space, sc across, turn ch 1 Row 5 - sc in each st across, turn, ch 4 (counts as dc ch 1 on following row) Row 6 - Change to F hook; dc in first sc, *skip 2 st, shell in next st, repeat from * 17 more times, ending with skip 2, dc, ch 1, dc (you will be leaving last 5 sc unworked), turn ch 4 (18 shells) Row 7 - dc in first ch space, *shell in ch 2 space of next shell, repeat from * across, ending with dc, ch 1, dc in turning ch space. Rows 8 - 16 Repeat row 7 (To make your skirt longer, continue to repeat row 7 until you reach your desired length.) Row 17 - sc in first dc, *sc, picot, sc in next ch 2 space, sc in next 4 sts, repeat from * to end. Fasten off leaving long tail for seaming back of skirt. Attach button, weave in and trim ends.
