Here is the matching scarf to go with the Rainbow Sherbet Shell Hat I posted earlier. This pattern works up super quick and uses one ball of Chunky Melody #5 weight yarn. You can find this yummy yarn in a variety of colors over at BambooMN.com
This pattern is written in American Crochet Terms and is easy enough for even a beginner to master!! Gauge isn't important in this pattern, scarf measures 4.5 inches wide by 38.5 inches long. Materials: N/9 mm hook Tapestry needle for weaving in ends 1 3.5 oz ball Chunky Melody Rainbow Sherbet Stitches and Abbreviations: ch - chain V-st V Stitch (dc, ch 1, dc in space or stitch indicated) dc - double crochet sk - skip To begin, ch 14, dc in 3rd ch from hook, *sk 1 ch, V-st in next ch, repeat from *, ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1 on next row. Row 2 - dc in 1st ch 1 space, V-st in ch 1 space of each V-st of row 1, making last V-st in 3rd ch of turning ch 4. Ch 4, turn. Rows 3 - 54 Repeat row 2, fasten off, weave in ends.
