Here is another little cat hat that will fit an 18" doll. For the sample I used Red Heart's Baby Hugs Light. This is such a soft, light weight #3 yarn. This pattern is easy enough for a beginning knitter to make.
I tried to get this post done for last Friday but due to problems with my neck and shoulder I wasn't able to complete the post! Materials size 4 straight or double pointed needles size 5 straight or double pointed needles small amount of Red Heart's Baby Hugs Light #3 weight yarn tapestry needle for seaming Stitches and Abbreviations (dpn) double pointed needles (co) cast on (bo) bind off (k) knit (p) purl Gauge on size 5 needles in Stockinette Stitch 15 sts x 16 rows = 2" To Begin On size 4 dpns c/o 40 sts Ribbing Row 1: work *k 1, p 1, repeat from * across Row 2: work *p 1, k 1, repeat from * across Work ribbing for 1 inch Changing to size 5 dpns work K 1 row, (rs) P 1 row (ws) until piece measures 7 inches from c/o edge Changing back to size 4 dpns work ribbing for 1 inch Bind off and seam sides of hat, weave in ends.
