![]() I have been busy finishing up a couple new patterns. I have done a pretty scarf & hat set with a little ruffled flower attached to the hat. I made the flower removable but you can easily stitch it down permanently. This little flower was made with the left over yarn from the skein I used for the hat. Here is how I made it. Ruffled Flower Embellishment ~ makes 2 inch flower Materials: Small amount of Carons Simply Soft #4 Worsted Weight Yarn. Approximately 10 to 20 yards. I hook 1/4" Felt Flower Button (optional) for center of flower Tapestry needle to weave in ends and attach the flower to the hat Stitches & Abbreviations Used Magic Circle - mc Chain - ch Double Crochet - dc This flower embellishment consists of just 2 rounds. Easy peasy right? To Begin: With I hook make a magic circle, ch 3, make 12 dc in circle (or chain 3 & make 12 dc in 3rd chain from hook). Pull center yarn tight to close. Join with a ss to first dc Round 1 - 6 dc in each dc around (72 dc) fasten off. Weave in ends leaving enough yarn to tie the flower to the hat. I added a 1/4" felt flower to the center of my flower. This step is optional. I hope you enjoy making this little embellishment. It makes a great stash buster for those odds and ends of yarn leftover from bigger projects.

I am glad that you are enjoying the patterns I have posted Susanne. I am well today and am happy to say the the weather here is mild; mid 50's and the sun is shining. I haven't had to get a fire going in the stove (yet); we are so blessed to have a wood stove in the cellar to supplement our oil heat. Heating can be such a burden in the winter here. I thank God everyday for each new day and the blessings that we enjoy! I pray that you to are happy and well.
